Lahontan GeoScience, Inc. (LGS) is a woman-owned, 8(a) small disadvantaged business. We represent a highly experienced group of earth science professionals committed to providing our clients with solutions responsive to their needs. LGS provides technical consulting services in the areas of groundwater hydrology, environmental evaluations and permitting, water resource development for mining, environmental resource management, seismic hazard assessment, and geological evaluations. The firm was established in 1994 with the purpose of bringing together the technical skills of the founding principals and associates. The company is located in Reno, Nevada, and serves clients throughout the west. We have successfully completed projects for a variety of federal, state, and local agencies, Indian Tribes, the solid and hazardous waste industries, the mining industry, public utilities, and private industry including residential and commercial developers. Our scientists have over 20 years of professional experience in environmental services. On staff are Ph.D. and Masters level hydrogeologists, geochemists, and a wetlands biologist with expertise on an impressive array of technical and consulting issues. Also on staff are registered environmental assessors (CA), certified environmental managers (NV), and registered geologists (CA & AZ). LGS provides timely and cost-effective solutions to our clients by maintaining a limited number of full-time staff members and a network of skilled associates who are available on a project basis. In this manner, overhead costs can be reduced while ensuring that the technical skills required for a particular project are always available.
